Willie Henderson used to be a professional football player. He played for the Glasgow Rangers and later for the National Scottish team. 17 years after playing in 478 matches he injured himself and could not longer play football. He has since opened up a hotel which he currently runs.

He is involved in charity work and eight years ago he raised 30,000 pound through a walk for motor neurone disease after loosing a friend to it.

He lost his daughter, Michelle, to cervical cancer. This lead to him starting a charity called the Michelle Henderson Cervical Cancer Trust, through this charity they are raising awareness and funds for hospital equipment and support groups for women suffering from the illness.
