In December 2016, we had a guest speaker called Mr. Joseba Errekalde who educated us on AIDS. He wanted to raise awareness as he had suffered from Aids and wanted to share his experience on how he survived.

Mr. Joseba Errekalde talked in French and we had a chance to ask him questions at the end of the session. 

 

 

He educated us on World Aid's Day which is held on 1st of December each year. It is a platform where we all unite and fight against HIV and support people. HIV is a virus which attacks the immune system. It has been said that 'Over 100, 000 people are living with HIV in the UK'. It is a serious issue as one can die from it. 

It was a great session as we all learned something new and helped us understand the issues that revolves around us.
