Our talk on Vaccines was done by Dr. Aleksandra Caric. She graduated with a Ph.D in medicine, and she is a certified doctor and general practitioner. Today, she works as a WHO consultant and she specialises in the subject of vaccines.

 

During her session she covered the history of vaccines from the discovery of how to prevent smallpox through the use of cox pox. She continued to cover the history of chicken pox until its eradication in the 20th century. Not only did she cover the history of this virus, but she also explained how the beginning of vaccines has helped us today.
